When we arrived at Covenant Presbyterian Church, the sunlight filtered through the trees and reflected through the lanterns and greenery lining the walkway to the church. Sarah and her bridesmaids got ready at a quaint mid-century inspired home just down the street where her dress hung in the window of a beautiful blue room and vintage tunes echoed from the record player. When Sarah's mother came in to show the bridesmaids her dress, the resident bulldog barked in approval, causing everyone to laugh in surprise. Nearby at the church, the groomsmen entertained Mark with a game of Pictionary as they all had their boutonnieres pinned on by Beth Walker's expert team of coordinators.

During the ceremony, the officiant spoke of marriage and its core consisting of two things: covenant and love. Covenant is more than a promise, more than a contract; it is a commitment. It is to be cherished and protected and thought of as more than a temporary situation. It is a vow to pursue one another each and everyday (despite how each might feel that day.) He said, “What we want for you all is to have a marriage that is deep and intimate and full of joy, and we believe that as you live the marriage that God has called you to, you'll have a marriage that is abundant."

Sarah + Mark,
As you continue forward in your life together, we hope that each day you are reminded of the covenant you made and the love that was shared in this moment, and that the memory of this joy is a guide that inspires your future adventures together. May you always have as much fun as you did during that spectacular drum solo!
xoxo,
the Mason Jar Team

The day began for the ladies at the Argyle House. As their hair and makeup were being expertly styled, the wedding dress hung near a window with the light streaming through the sheer outer layers of the skirt. As everyone admired the dress, Hillary confessed that she tried on nearly 70 dresses before firmly choosing this particular gown from Julian Gold. With sweet tears in her eyes, Hillary's mother showed our cameras a lovely family bridal heirloom. It was hidden on Hillary's new gown in the layers of the skirt---pieces of lace from her own wedding gown from years ago.

It's hard to say which moment from this film is our favorite since we have quite a few, but one moment our entire team especially loved was the "first look" between Hillary and Tom. As they saw each other for the first time in their wedding attire, it was as if they were truly seeing each other for the first time. They were both overcome with emotion and burst into tears and laughter. It's these true, emotional moments that we love to capture on film. Couples can often spend many months planning their weddings, only to have the day fly by in an instant. We love that we get to preserve the beauty of the details and the beauty of these emotions in a way that allows our clients to re-experience each heartfelt moment for years to come. On some days we compare it to time-travel. Other days, we compare it to magic. Everyday, we are always thankful to help preserve these memories!

The sunlight was stunning in Austin as Josie + Carl's families gathered on the lakeside lawn of Villa Del Lago to celebrate their marriage. As the sounds of a nearby waterfall drifted through the air, Jackson Durham prepared a ceremony aisle for Josie that was lined with majestic sprays of roses, drawing everyone's eyes up toward the peaceful blue sky. Carl gathered with his groomsmen for photos and they all sported crushed velvet loafers that would soon be used for some serious dancing in the Driskill's ballroom later that night. As Carl greeted his family and guests, it became very clear the kind of sweet support that their loved ones have for Josie and Carl.
