Red Corral Ranch /// #kissinlogs /// Jessie + Taylor, the full film
/What we truly love about Jess and Taylor is the way they appreciate sweet, intimate moments - quality time spent together going to the dog park with their pups and simply catching up with one another on the couch at the end of the day. They spent time on little details for the wedding day as well, from handmade road signs directing guests to different locations to the lovingly handwritten letters that they wrote to their wedding party.

You’re as sweet as Tennessee Whiskey.
When asked about musical preferences and genres they would like represented in their final film, Jessica and Taylor didn’t hesitate in their response: anything similar to Chris Stapleton. A musician known for his deep voice and highly relatable songs referencing the simple things in life like whiskey and love, we can see why Jess and Taylor enjoy his music so much. For their edit, we chose music by Matt McCloskey and Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors. Drew Holcomb is a well known Nashville artist who often sings duets with his beautiful wife, Ellie Holcomb. Their style is lilting, simple, and pure country.

Red Corral Ranch in Wimberley is like an oasis in the desert - filled with rolling hills, lush greenery, spectacular views, and twinkling lights that would make the night sky jealous. It was here that Jess and Taylor chose to say “I do” amongst their closest family and friends.

The sunset filled ceremony was punctuated with a visit by some local peacocks who only squawked at some pretty perfectly timed moments—as if they were cheering in agreement with Jess and Taylor being announced husband and wife! Afterwards, guests gathered at the big red barn to eat dinner. They were surprised to find they had to compete against other tables of guests and sing for their supper—in order to be released to the buffet, they had to serenade the bride and groom with a song about love. Their fun songs and animated performances only served to prove that Jess and Taylor are surrounded by a whole cloud of joyous friends who reflect their own humor and love for life.

Jessica and Taylor,
We hope your film helps you re-live these moments with joy and delight, and that the memory of this moment when you shared your vows will continue to stir your affections and strengthen you for all of your future days together.
love,
the Mason Jar Team

Lauren and Jake are quite a pair—Lauren is passionate, kind, and (self-admittedly) a little rebellious —and Jake is goofy, adorable and honorable. Fun fact— Jake’s favorite movie is Dumb and Dumber, so the wedding hashtag
For their reception, they chose Ouisie’s—a swanky New Orleans' style restaurant in a bungalow-esque building with a beautiful, intimate garden setting and classic ballroom complete with ornate architecture. It was a night filled with laughter around dinner tables, joyous dancing, and of course, good food. Before the wedding, Lauren told us, "We are very close to our friends and family. Many of them are coming from out of town so we intend to really celebrate life during the event." .....and, just one more fun fact—you know your clients have an awesome taste in food when a Food Network star crashes their wedding to eat at the venue! Thankfully, Giada was kind enough to share some wedding well-wishes with us to deliver to Jake and Lauren.

Lauren and Jake, Thank you for choosing us to tell your story, and for sharing your love of home movies and classic movies with us. We hope your wedding film serves as a reminder of this sweet evening where you gathered with your family and friends to “celebrate life.” We are honored to have been your wedding videographer. Truly, The Mason Jar Team
Amber and Michael’s wedding day was perfect in every way. The oppressive heat of Texas summer had been replaced with warm afternoons and cool evening breezes. With a golden sun setting over the steeples of St. Martin’s Episcopal and blanketing the greens of Houston Country Club, guests gathered outside to enjoy a cocktail hour serenaded by Houston’s famous Choraleers.
Nardos Imam designed and created all of the family's celebratory dresses – the bride’s wedding dress, her mother’s dress, and her grandmother’s dress - to perfection. She attended the final bridal prep moments to make any final tailoring adjustments and ensure that the dresses were comfortable and that each ruffle and seam flowed correctly. Each dress was truly a work of art; her commitment to detail and her kind spirit was a sweet addition to the afternoon.
At the reception, Michael was excited to see the groom’s cake in the shape of an oil rig. Every moment was truly filled with delight as Amber and Michael looked at each detail in the ballroom.
The Proposal: How did it happen?
Amber and Michael share a love for traveling, cooking, and outdoor activities, which was evident in everything from their wedding invitations to their proposal story. Both families gathered at the Mueller’s ranch in the Bandera, Texas hill country for Thanksgiving 2014. Michael and Amber went on a walk Thanksgiving morning. They strolled down to what is known as “Lover’s Leap”. “Lover’s Leap” is a beautiful body of water with a one-of-a-kind waterfall flowing into it, so named by an old Indian tale. This was where Michael proposed. Michael and Amber walked back to the house to find everyone was already to celebrate. What a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We always love the moment a bride sees her father for the first time on the wedding day. It is truly precious! Jay later told Ryker that he could barely keep from crying when Sarah came up and tapped him on the shoulder.
Sarah and Ryker were the first ones to be married at this church--renovations had just finalized at 2am the night before! The father of the bride commended Becky Brock, Kacy King, and the entire Brock + Co. crew for their expert communication with the construction team for making sure the church was finished on time.

Sarah+ Ryker,
You truly have found something special in each other. We hope you always keep being silly, "snarf-snarf"-ing to your dog, and entertaining your families with your hilarity. Thank you for allowing us to capture these precious memories of what is really the beginning of your fairy-tale, with many more adventures to come. We wish you the best!
xoxo,
