Four Seasons Hotel Dallas /// #AintNoMountainHighEnough /// Lexi + Ben, the highlights
/Ain't No Mountain High Enough
Our minds are still brimming with the sounds and sights from Lexi + Ben’s Modern Black Tie Wedding at the Four Seasons in Dallas this past weekend. Hurricanes and a kickball league brought this couple together (more on that to come) and their wedding was a beautiful reflection of the unique and adrenaline-fueled moments they’ve shared. The glacier they climbed together on their first trip to Crested Butte with Lexi’s family happened to be the very same mountaintop where Ben proposed. It was only fitting that Ben’s gift to Lexi on their wedding day would be a mini-glacier of sorts: a diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co. (get it, the diamond is ice…) wrapped in the lift ticket from the day he proposed. On top of all that sweetness, their wedding had so many fun moments: a gorgeous train of tiny flower girls, a diorama style mountain cake featuring the proposal moment, and even a surprise Second Line, reflecting the couple’s Louisiana roots.
Please enjoy a short highlight of their full wedding video to come!

As her bridesmaids got ready around her, Lexi was joined by her month old niece, Miller. As the first grandchild on her side of the family, Miller was consistently surrounded by sweet "oohs" and "ahhs" from all of the grown ups.

The flower girls wore white dresses with pink satin sashes that tied in beautiful bows in the back. Their ballerina buns were encased by a flower crown and the girls filled the air with smiles and giggles.

Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher and Higher
Ben gave us a closer look at the lift ticket from Crested Butte — the same lift ticket he purchased for the ride to the mountain top where he proposed. He wrapped the ticket around the Tiffany & Co box that contained the Lexi’s wedding day present.

Lexi and Ben,
We thoroughly enjoyed filming your wedding day, and we were amazed by the love that is present in your family. We have loved looking through all the footage and seeing how your parents are all full of smiles as they watch you experience your wedding day. We can't wait to finish putting together your full wedding film! Congrats!

When we asked Hillary what she was most looking forward to about her wedding, she said spending the rest of her life with her best friend…and cake! Their wedding cakes were set side by side at the reception entrance. The bride’s cake was a geometric, asymmetrical masterpiece with flowers cascading down the tiers and topped with the couple’s monogram. The groom’s cake was set with the Seattle Seahawk’s logo and surrounded by individual treats with the number 12 on each one.

Meet Stephanie and Cody: she's festive and organized, he's kind and enjoyable to be around.  It's their love for one another that inspired their wedding celebration -- from a surprise proposal (complete with a bag piper in California) to a wedding at a modern art museum in Texas.  We adored every detail we could see; like the ghost chairs at the ceremony and the trumpet skirt detailing on Stephanie's couture wedding dress.

Guests were treated to the sounds of a string quartet before the ceremony and were free to roam the numerous wings and art exhibits afterwards to enjoy the beauty that the Kimbell Museum provides.

Beth Walker and her team at 36th Street Events created the beautiful backdrop for this wedding: coordinating all of its details. Merveille designed the florals for this stunning modern, romantic celebration. Railings were loosely draped with wild smilax with floral in ivory, cream, and touches of gray nestled amongst the greenery. At each entrance, clear glass cylinders in varying heights and wax luminaries lined the steps with a variety of floral including hydrangeas, white stock, white roses, and dusty miller. Succulent rosettes, white scabiosa, ranunculus, peonies, green and white kale, eucalyptus, tillandsia and brunia berry contributed to the visual feast once inside. (Also, we dare you not to drool over this beautiful salad that was set on the farm-style rustic wooden banquet tables by Crave, the catering company).

The cakes were made of the most divine flavors--the bride's cake was almond with strawberry, and the groom's "drum set" cake was cookie dough flavored with chocolate filling.

In honor of the groom, a cigar bar was provided for guests on the upper floor of Brazos Hall. Guests enjoyed beers and a signature cocktail in monogrammed cup sleeves as they visited in the city night air on the balcony terrace. "The Ginger Lee" was a cocktail drink created in honor of the couple's dog. It was three equal parts of Bulleit Bourbon, Domain De Canton (a ginger liqueur), and fresh lemon juice, all served over ice. From the upstairs open-air lounge, guests could socialize and enjoy the stunning view as pedicabs and horse-drawn carriages meandered on the streets below.

Edison bulbs hung over the dance floor as the crowd danced the night away. The evening ended with a bang--Sauce the band invited the bride and groom onstage to sing the last song, and guests were treated to midnight Milky Ways and candy treats as they walked out the doors. In true Austin fashion, Sarah and Mark exited their downtown reception through a tunnel of sparklers leading to a pedicab getaway.
